a few gems:
* 235 little girls and 252 little boys were named Baby last year. and you thought YOU were teased in childhood. these kids are targets waiting to happen.
* nothing says trendy like naming your kid after a dead celebrity. 3301 little girls were named Aaliyah (twice as many as in 2000) and 1394 more Aliyah. 292 little boys were named Elvis.
* furthermore, nothing says trendy like naming your child after a LIVE celebrity. 355 Beyonces were born last year (there were none in 2000) along with 271 Jaggers, 273 Keanus, 1535 Kobes, 2013 Dawsons, 303 Alanises, 306 Shakiras, 355 Calistas, 390 Chynas, 414 Jewels, 542 Felicitys, 629 Halles, 764 Shanias, 3518 Mariahs AND...1639 Britneys.
* 6597 more Jesus' were born last year! Hallelujah!
